The Business of STEM: Startups, Technologies, Entrepreneurship, and Management

Leaders in the entrepreneurial world came together with STEM researchers to discuss the basis and understanding of starting a company.  This included the process of taking an idea from the lab and transitioning it to the venture capital market.  Participants further learned how to pitch their ideas to venture capitalists and coming up with financial strategies for running a successful biotech startup.
