Intel Panel Discussion and Talk


September 23, 2015 @ Weill Cornell Medical College

Intel engineers Dr.'s Dan Bald, Lyndon Graham, Denzil Roberts gave an informational session to MGSN members regarding the exciting career opportunities offered by Intel, particularly in the fields of engineering, physics, and chemistry.  Attendees learned of the various aspects of working for a company that continues to lead the market in silicon processor technology while being able to personally interact with the speakers for further networking purposes.

MGSN 2015 Career Fair

The MGSN Career Fair opened up with a motivating talk by keynote speaker and entrepreneur Dr. Randall Pinkett. Dr. Pinkett encouraged the audience to  learn from failures, be passionate about what you do, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. Following the keynote address, graduate students and postdocs had the opportunity to personally interact with ready-to-hire employers by presenting their scientific work in a poster session.  Employers present at the career fair represented various companies including DE Shaw, Healthcare Consultancy Group, Merck, Intel, Propel Careers, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.  The event came to a close upon a networking session over lunch.

Resume Building Workshop with Resume Strategists

President and founder of Resume Strategists Alyssa Gelbard gave a talk discussing key features that make a successful resume. After her talk, Ms. Gelbard and her team of resume consultants sat down with attendees to personally review their resumes, providing feedback and suggestions on how to better tailor their resumes to the area of employment attendees were interested in.
